VobBlanker does have a slider when you're in the Prev/Cut window that tells what point you're at for that particular cell (chapter) by time as well as providing a frame picture. Neither of these apps has a timeline view (as far as I can tell).

Using that AVI file I imported it into Pinnacle, did my cut edits, and output an H264 MP4 file that played rather well on my TVs except for the fact that the audio was still off by the tiniest tiniest bit (enough for me to notice). Using VirtualDubMod I offset the audio by 800ms and produced an AVI file where the audio was in perfect sync.

Once I did that I used MPC Home Cinema Player to determine what the audio delay was (800ms). mpg file produced my VOB2MPG by feeding it into AutoGK to create an Xvid AVI. My only other work around, which seemed to work last night (but not 100% perfectly) was to convert the. mpg video clip into a time line, cut out certain sections (maybe 1 minutes worth out of 90 minutes) and produce an output file (that will be slightly smaller than the source file) with very little or no loss of quality. Saying "Neither of those tools worked for me." does nothing to help anyone figure out what you did wrong so. I'm more familiar with VobBlanker than with MPEG2Cut2, but both can do the job, although MPEG2Cut2 will give you back an MPG which will have to be reauthored while VobBlanker will give you back the edited DVD ready to reburn.
